Next-Gen Ford Ranger and Everest Launching

Lao Ford City is the only authorised Ford Motor Company dealer in Laos and is now launching four exciting new models – the Ranger Wildtrak, Ranger XLT, Ranger XL, and the Everest Sport.

The official grand opening that everyone has been waiting for has now arrived in Laos, after the Next-Gen Ford Ranger and Everest were revealed in Australia in the middle of this year.

Lao Ford City displayed the new vehicles for visitors to get a close-up view at the National Convention Centre in Vientiane on September 30. Which were horned giving a speech by Mr. Wayne McIntosh, a Managing Director Automotive of RMA Lao, Mr. Peter Haymond an Ambassador of USA, Mr. Daovone Phachanthavong- an Executive Vice President of Lao National Chamber of Commerce & Industry and we also have a very special video presentation from Mr. Simson a Managing Director of Ford Asia Pacific Distributer Market. By his video presentation he mentions that our vehicles built to be a perfect companion for work, family and play which all the thing we made for good experience of customer.

This event is the biggest vehicle in Laos that there were 1689 participants attend the event. From the event we have 33 units booking, and we done hand over 18 units.

Ford fans were able to admire and touch the brand new vehicles, getting a hands-on experience of all four models, and also obtaining the details of their technical specifications.

Visitors were able to test drive the Ford Ranger and Everest Sport on October 1-2.

 

 

The specifications of the new offerings from Ford are as follows: 

  1. Ford Everest Sport 4×2 6AT has a 2.0-litre diesel turbo sport engine. The gear system is automatic transmission with 6AT, which produces up to 170 horsepower at 3,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 405 newton meters (nm) at 1,750-2,500 rpm.
  1. Ford Ranger Wildtrak 10AT is a high-tech pickup truck equipped with a 2.0-litre bi-turbo engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission, delivering 210 PS at 3,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 500 nm at 1,750-2,000 rpm.
  1. Ford Ranger XLT 6AT and 10AT comes in 2 engine sizes – a 2.0 litre single turbo and a 2.0 litre bi-turbo (twin turbo).

The 2.0-litre single-turbo model is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that can produce up to 170 horsepower at 3,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 405 Nm at 1,750-2,500 rpm.

The 2.0-litre bi-turbo version comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission that provides 210 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,750-2,000 rpm.

  1. The Ford Ranger XL 6MT has a 2.0-litre single turbo engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that provides up to 170 horsepower and 405 nm of torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm.

Drivers will experience the versatility of the Next-Gen Ford Everest and Ranger.

You can travel on any road, in all situations, both on-road and off-road, with the development of the wheelbase, which increases the width of the wheelbase by 50 mm for the efficiency and stability of driving and the luxurious spacious cabin.

The vehicle has new technologies that make it even easier to drive, such as the intelligent parking assist system that makes parking easier and more convenient, and the automatic braking system while backing up when there are obstacles.

It has a lane-keeping control system to help keep the car from drifting out of lane while driving on the road.

All of these special controls meet the needs of drivers who have to contend with various situations on a daily basis.
